Member of the Sustainable Business Network
The Sustainable Business Network (SBN) provides advice and support to help businesses succeed through becoming more sustainable. This non-profit organisation supports members year-round with networking opportunities, practical tools, training and sustainability assessments. SBN defines Sustainable Business as the integration of economic growth, social equity and environmental management, both for now and for the future.
As a Green Star NZ Accredited Professional (GSAP), The Building Excellence Group can prepare the application for certification, act as the main point of contact with the New Zealand Green Building Council, liaise with the Design Team, provide consultancy advice to inform design and materials selection, review specifications and ensure quality control of the submission. Green Star NZ Accredited Professionals are experienced building industry practitioners who have demonstrated their understanding of the Green Star NZ rating system and attended two NZGBC Green Star NZ Accredited Professional courses (Level 1 and Level 2) and pass the associated exam.
BREEAM Accredited Professional
BREEAM APs will provide a design team with expert advice on built environment sustainability, environmental design and environmental assessment. They will facilitate the team’s efforts to successfully schedule activities, set priorities and negotiate the trade-offs required to achieve a target BREEAM rating when the design is formally assessed.
Help your organization optimize policies that improve social equity and enhance employee engagement. The JUST program is a voluntary disclosure tool for organizations.
JUST is not a certification program, it is a transparency platform for organizations to disclose their operations, including how they treat their employees and where they make financial and community investments. JUST is a nutrition label for socially just and equitable organizations.
This approach requires reporting on a range of organization–and employee-related indicators.
Homestar™ Certified Assessor
If you are ready to have your Homestar™rating certified, an independent Homestar™ Assessor can inspect your home and provide you with a certified Homestar™ rating. This provides you with the assurance of a credible assessed Homestar™ rating and an official certificate that you can use to showcase the value and performance of your home, potentially attracting higher resale value. EnviroSpec is a certified Homestar Assessor and can deliver the rating required for your home.
An independent NABERSNZ Certified Rating shows exactly how well a building uses energy, compared to other commercial office properties. Certified Ratings range from 0 to 6 stars: the more energy efficient your building, the higher your rating.
Through the process of undertaking the Certified Rating, your Accredited Assessor can help you identify ways to improve energy use and reduce operating costs.
