The Living House is hoping to become the first Living Building Challenge certified building in New Zealand, building on the excellent example set by the Zero Energy House (ZEH) which achieved Net Zero Energy Certification and the Ideal House which achieved Passive House Certification. The Living House will be the personal home of Rochelle Payne, one of the senior team members at BXG.

 

This project is a great opportunity for BXG to bring together all its areas of expertise, to ensure the design, construction, monitoring and certification of what might arguably be the most sustainable home in New Zealand!

The project will publish its progress and findings to offer a learning platform for all and an open source communication of sustainable home design!
